The relatively heavy factory dual-mass flywheel has been lightened in order to reduce rotational inertia for faster acceleration and throttle response. The Flywheel is 7 lbs. lighter than stock, reducing overall weight by 18%. By eliminating the weight in the appropriate areas of the flywheel, rotational inertia is reduced by 40%. The Flywheel has been designed to work in conjunction with the stock pressure plate and disc.
